Simple hot dog/ spanish sausage toppings (chorizo)


Let’s talk about hot dogs and chorizo (spanish sausage) you probably like me want quick easy meals and something the kids will love also but want some more adult toppings or just something new? Today I’m giving you 2 new toppings that you can add on your hot dogs or sausages and one even doubles as a quick side salad. Take a look this first is a quick take on chimichuri. If this photo isn’t making your mouth water? Did I mention you could also use them on tortillas that you can toast.

So here’s the first recipe chimichuri:
Ingredients:
1 large onion diced
1 scallion sliced in small pieces
4 cloves garlic minced
1 large red pepper diced
1/2 cup parsley fresh and minced
1 tablespoon oregano dried or fresh
1/2 cup cilantro fresh minced
1/2 cup oil vegetable or olive or corn
1/4 cup white vinegar
1 large lemon juice of.
Salt & pepper to taste
Instructions:
Pretty much all you are doing is dicing and mincing up the fresh stuff. Pour oil, vinegar and lemon juice over ingredients stir and add salt and pepper to taste.

Second recipe, Guatemalan cabbage salad.
Use as a topping or as a side salad.

Ingredients:
1 small cabbage finely chopped like picture
1 yellow onion sliced finely
3-4 limes juiced over cabbage and onion mixture
Salt and pepper to taste.
Instructions:
Toss cabbage, onion and juice limes over the top. Add salt and pepper to taste and your done.
Try both toppings at same time. You won’t be disappointed. Want an additional tip? I don’t use hot dog buns try torpedo rolls on a buttered griddle until toasted. Now add your hot dog or sausages and topping and yum yum. This is the sausage I like.
