One pot Chili

Nothing says comfort food like chili with corn bread. This recipe will not disappoint.

INGREDIENTS:
2 lbs lean ground beef
6 strips bacon chopped into small pieces
1 large onion
1 large green pepper cut into small cubes
2 cans red kidney beans drained and rinsed
1 40 oz can diced tomatoes with juice
2 8 oz cans tomato sauce
2 packages McCormick chili seasoning
2 Tbsp cumin
2 Tbsp beef consume
3-4 Tbsp tio santi all purpose seasoning
2 Tbsp onion powder
2 Tbsp garlic powder
2-3 Tbsp cayenne pepper (adjust to how hot you like) we like spice)

INSTRUCTIONS:
* In 6 quart sauce pan add ground beef, bacon, onion and green pepper cook on high. Cook until beef is browned and bacon is slightly crispy but do not drain.
* Add all seasonings, beans, tomatoes and tomato sauce. Lower heat to low-medium like a 4, cover and simmer for around 30-40 minutes stirring often to avoid burning.
* The result will be a thick meat chili. If you like a little juicy add in 1 1/2 c. water when adding beans etc.
